How satellite-based Typhoon Insurance works?

Your premium is based on:
1. how much cover you want; 2. the risk of typhoons impacting your location; 3. if you choose Gold, Silver or Bronze cover.

PAY YOUR PREMIUM

The insurer will issue you a quote and provide you with payment options. Once payment is made the policy contract will be sent to you electronically, or by post if you choose. It will state the agreed typhoon triggers, such as storm category and distance to your registered asset location, that will result automatic claims payouts.

DATA AUTOMATICALLY TRIGGERS CLAIMS

The technology continually scans satellite-based weather data from the UCAR Weather Dataset. If a typhoon comes within 100, 50 or 25 km from the asset location you registered, then a claim is automatically triggered. The payout amount depends on the distance and the package you buy.

GET PAID IN WITHIN 10 DAYS

If a claim is triggered, a payment will be made to you within 10 days after you submit your claim documents.
